Bad experience. No shows, no dancing, DJ did not play music until the last 20 minutes of the cruise. No Tour guide. Bad experience all together. Menu listed food That was not included in the meal. We paid $189.00 per person to find out that more than half of the menu was not included. No shoes. Rip Off! Don’t waste your money.
The view is spectacular, and the ambience was light and fun. The servers were very attentive, and the manager, Jose Garcia, obviously took a lot of pride in his work. However, the food was so salty we absolutely could not eat it. Even after we returned our food and they brought us a second entrée, it was too salty to eat. Also, it seemed as if there was an “up charge” for everything! Having spent $450 for the trip, I felt cheated when I had to shell out an additional $200!
one of my kids was unable to join us because of urgent matter. I was trying to refund his ticket but when I called the viator the lady who answered didnt even ask my name, the details of my call and just told No we cannot refund and its not transferrable. Very rude!! If im going to cruise again I am not going to book in viator. I rate them negative 10.
Well, I didn't think we would make it on time. We drove from Wisconsin got to Navy pier just in time to board the ship...I was very impress with the whole lay out, everybody was dress for date night, the view was great, weather was not to bad, and food was tasty. Biggest part of my night was my boyfriend proposed on one knee ...Timing was perfect. I planned to book again in July for both daughter's birthday
First off there is nothing at the address given on your website or confirmation. Second there is no vessel name given either. The actual company name is also not listed for anyone to find the booth to get boarding passes. Knowing what booth to go to is not easy to figure out. Thankfully CPD was walking on the pier. They asked if it was a party or dinner vessel and pointed us in the right direction. Lastly. The three course meal is not explained nor do the menus include the additional prices if you select what is not included. They don’t tell you what is not included either. There isn’t even a separate menu. Your surprise is in the additional bill at the end. Waitress says she did explain but she did not. I even remembered word for word what she said after I said this was our first time doing this and didn’t know what to order. All I knew was three course meal and something about surf and turf and I’m not sure what that means. She then just asks what would you like as an appetizer, main course and dessert. At no time does she say that the lobster will be $42 more dollars or the shrimp cocktail $14. She did say since we got the shrimp cocktail we could still get the salads or soup. So I added the salad. My husband passed. Next the manager comes to the table and says that all the waiters are trained to explain this prior to us placing the order. If that is so, the people seated next to us also complained that they were not told. As I went passed the kitchen, there was another waiter saying that another customer was complaining about the same thing. I wonder how many more surprised customers there were. The manager told us we had to pay for our meals. They did not even knock off 10% or a free shrimp cocktail. I figured this was the plan to make more money all along. It does say “ surf and turf” is not included but my salmon was but not the shrimp cocktail or lobster. When she didn’t tell us what we ordered was not included I figured “surf and turf” might mean getting a steak and fish combination plate. As far as a recommendation,I would just tell friends to cruise the lake and eat a meal at a restaurant elsewhere! If you want to do this, don’t just ask your waitress how does this work? Ask how much extra is anything going to be. The liquor menu has pricing so should the dinner menu!! Very disappointed when scammed.
Food was delicious but our waitress was scattered in the sense that she seemed all over resulting in our food taking an hour after giving our order and main course arriving well before starters. Overall pleasant trip, good music by DJ and very accommodating staff
